You're reading: Ukraine could appeal to WTO due to Russia’s limiting imports of its goods

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine is mulling an appeal to the World Trade Organization (WTO) because of Russia's restricting imports of Ukrainian goods to its territory.

Minister of Economic Development and Trade Pavlo Sheremeta told reporters the ministry received complaints from Ukrainian producers on this issue. However, he noted they are not sufficient to formalize a full appeal.

“We are studying [the possibility of filing a complaint],” he said, noting that such a document would be sent immediately after its preparation.
