Ukraine in January-July 2015 reduced exports of electricity by 2.5 times compared to the same period in 2014, to 2.257 billion kWh, a source in the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Electricity supplies from Burshtyn TPP energy island to Hungary, Slovakia and Romania in the seven months dropped by 17.8% compared to the same period last year, to 2.211 billion kWh.

Electricity supplies to Poland for the period amounted to 37.7 million kilowatt-hours, the entire amount was delivered this July. In January-July last year, exports to Poland amounted to 663.3 million kWh of electricity.

During this period, Belarus received 500,000 kWh, and Moldova received 6.5 million kilowatt-hours against 1.856 billion kWh and 501.2 million kWh in January-July 2014 respectively.

Ukrainian electricity exports to Russia for the first seven months of 2015 totaled 800,000 kWh, while in the same period last year electricity was not supplied to Russia.

At the same time, Ukraine in January-July 2015 imported 1.486 billion kWh of electricity from Russia, including 93.5 million kWh in July.

Power exports from the Ukrainian mainland to the occupied territory of Crimea for the seven months of this year amounted to 3.235 billion kWh, which is 1.3% less than in the same period of 2014.
