You're reading: Ukraine draws up its edition of settlement roadmap

Ukrainian Acting Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia has presented a settlement roadmap edition devised by the national authorities, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.

“Before the Moscow trip of the Swiss foreign minister, the Ukrainian minister presented our roadmap; we have one and it significantly differs from what was said in Moscow,” Yatseniuk said after a visiting government session in Kharkiv on May 7.

“The main difference is that our goal is bona fide stabilization in Ukraine which is related to one thing only – the position of the Russian Federation. If Russia calls off its sabotage groups, stops supporting and funding them, and pulls back troops, Ukraine will stabilize,” he said.

Yatseniuk hopes that the OSCE will pick the Ukrainian edition of the roadmap. “I think the roadmap devised by Ukraine will be the foundation of the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis,” he noted.

He also said he was surprised that the Ukrainian issue was discussed in Moscow in the absence of Kyiv representatives.
