Ukraine in January-April 2013 exported electricity worth $193.319 million.

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in particular, Ukraine supplied electricity worth $90.711 million to Hungary, $67.578 million to Belarus, $17.216 million to Moldova, and $17.814 million to other countries (Poland, Romania, Slovakia).

Ukraine in April this year exported electricity worth $50.923 million.

As reported, Ukraine in 2012 exported electricity worth $574.819 million, and imported power worth $5.675 million. Ukraine exported electricity to Belarus for $231.4 million, Hungary – $224.3 million, Romania – $9.9 million, Slovakia – $5.8 million, Poland – $50.7 million, and Moldova – $52.7 million.

Ukraine in 2012 increased electricity exports by 51.5% compared to 2011, to 9.745 billion kWh. In 2011 exports amounted to 6.4 billion kilowatt-hours, in 2010 – 4.2 billion kWh, in 2009 – 4.1 billion kWh, in 2008 – 7.9 billion kWh, in 2007 – 9.2 billion kWh, in 2006 – 10.4 billion kWh, and in 2005 – 8.4 billion kWh.

Ukraine in January-April 2013 increased electricity exports by 26% compared to the same period in 2012, to 3.159 billion kWh. Exports of electricity to Central Europe (Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Poland) for the four months of this year increased by 29.1%, to 1.832 billion kWh, Belarus – by 20.3%, to 1.024 billion kWh, Moldova – by 27.4%, to 302.3 million kWh.
