You're reading: Ukraine imports over 895 million cubic meters of gas since early December, Ukrtransgaz

Ukraine, in the period from Dec. 1 to Dec. 20, imported 895 million cubic meters (mcm) of natural gas, the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz has said.

“European natural gas came from Slovakia and Poland in the volumes of 593.1 and 43.1 million cubic meters. Some 260.8 million cubic meters was imported from the Russian Federation,” the press service said.

On Dec. 20 gas imports from Slovakia, Poland and Russia amounted to 30.8 mcm, 2.3 mcm and 23.2 mcm respectively.

As reported, Ukrtransgaz, 100 percent owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates the trunk gas pipelines system, as well as 12 underground gas storage facilities in the country.
