Ukraine in August 2014 imported natural gas from Europe at an average price of $360.9 per 1,000 cubic meters, whereas in July its average price was 360.2, in June - 366.9 dollars, in May - 364.7 dollar, and in April - 375.8 dollars.
According to the State Statistics Service, in August Ukraine received natural gas from Europe in the amount of 403.416 million cubic meters for a total of 145.585 million dollars. In particular, from Germany the country imported 339.128 million cubic meters of gas worth 121.477 million dollars (the average price was 358.2 dollars), from Hungary – 64.288 million cubic meters for 24.108 million dolars (the average price was 375 dollars).
In August 2014, natural gas was not supplied from Russia to the country.
In general, in January-August 2014 Ukraine imported from Russia and Europe 15.125 billion cubic meters of gas for 4.175 billion dollars, in particular from Europe – 1.193 billion cubic meters for 434 million dollars, from the Russian Federation – 13.932 billion cubic meters worth 3.741 billion dollars.
