You're reading: Ukraine on Nov. 7 renews record of maximum daily imports of gas through Slovakia

Ukraine on Nov. 7 imported 30.9 million cubic meters of natural gas through Slovakia, while the previous high was set on Oct. 28, when the country received 30.7 million cubic meters of gas, the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz has told Interfax-Ukraine.

According to its data, starting from Nov. 6 the mode of gas imports was increased to 29.6 million cubic meters per day, and next day increased to 30.9 million cubic meters.

As reported, the additional capacity of the Vojany-Uzhgorod gas pipeline was reached after technical improvements by the Ukrainian side.

Previously the capacity of the Vojany-Uzhgorod pipeline was estimated at 27 billion cubic meters per day, however on Oct. 28 Ukraine imported 30.7 million cubic meters of natural gas via Slovakia, while the previous high was set on Oct. 20, when the country received 28.3 million cubic meters of gas.
