Ukraine's opposition leaders, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Oleh Tiahnybok and Vitali Klitschko, have called on U.S. President Barack Obama to introduce sanctions against Ukrainian officials.

“Today, the three of us addressed the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate
and asked the U.S. assistant secretary of state, who came to our
Independence Square, to convey our letter to U.S. President Barack
Obama. This letter says that the Ukrainian people are struggling for
their own democracy, and that we ask the American administration to take
concrete steps to support our fight and our rights and impose sanctions
against those who are fighting against their own people – the
president’s regime,” Yatseniuk said during a pro-EU rally on
Independence Square in the center of Kyiv on Thursday.
