You're reading: Ukraine reduces oil production 1.4% in 2012

Oil production in Ukraine fell 1.4% in 2012 to 2.37 million tonnes, the country's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Production of gas condensate rose 0.81% to 920,300 tonnes.

Enterprises that are part of national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy reduced oil output by 2.1% to 2.203 million tonnes but raised gas condensate production 0.74% to 793,300 tonnes.

They included OJSC Ukrnafta, which reduced oil production by 2.2% to 2.03 million tonnes but raised gas condensate 3% to 199,010 tonnes; Ukrgazvydobuvannia, which reduced oil output by 1.8% to 160,000 tonnes and raised gas condensate output 0.82% to 531,580 tonnes; and OJSC Chornomornaftogaz, which boosted oil production by 1.7% to 8,920 tonnes but cut condensate output 6.45% to 62,777 tonnes.

Other oil and gas companies raised oil production by 9% to 166,750 tonnes and gas condensate output by 1.29% to 127,060 tonnes. The joint venture Poltava Petroleum Company slashed oil production with condensate by 14.4% to 77,572 tonnes, UkrCarpatOil Ltd reduced it 2.5% to 54,840 tonnes, JV Kashtan Petroleum LTD ramped it up 3.7-fold to 34,607 tonnes; CJSC Naftogazvydobuvannia cut it 12.1% to 27,561 tonnes; CJSC Natural Resources decreased it 10.9% to 17,941 tonnes; Regal Petroleum raised it 110% to 12,970 tonnes; JV Boryslavska Oil Company increased it 4% to 11,877 tonnes; LLC KUB-Gas boosted it 150% to 8,430 tonnes; and NJSC Nadra Ukrainy slashed it 27.9% to 2,317 tonnes.
