The Finance Ministry of Ukraine has repaid $59.625 million of interest on ten-year eurobonds placed in February 2011, the ministry said on Thursday, Aug. 23.
The ministry noted that the eurobonds worth $1.5 billion were issued at 7.95% per annum.
According to the State Treasury Service, since the start of the year to August 20 some Hr 13.65 billion was paid from the general fund of the national budget to service the debt (Hr 4.09 billion on the external debt) and Hr 35.47 billion to repay the state debt (Hr 15.6 billion on the external debt). At the same time, the plan of payments for January-August is Hr 17.78 billion and Hr 45.74 billion respectively.
Proceeds from state borrowings by August 20 had come to Hr 65.73 billion, including Hr 15.99 billion from external borrowings at the plan for eight months being Hr 71.48 billion.
