Ukraine has made some progress in talks with Russia in seeking the revision of a 2009 natural gas contract that sets a gas price seen by Kyiv as too high, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has argued. 

“The unjust gas contract with Russia sets a high price for gas. We are persistently seeking an agreement with Russia to revise that contract, and, in my view, indications of certain solutions have emerged,” a statement from Ukraine’s government quoted Azarov as telling Hungary’s M1 television.
