As usual, the xoxli think they can pick they eyes out of every deal. The bottom line is, if they want cheap gas, they either have to join the customs union so Gazprom has to charge all Union states the same rate, or make some other commercial deal.
Things will really come to a head in 3 years when South Stream is operational. Then they'll be forced to pay the full market price, or join the customs union. No more holding Europe to ransom because of their strategic importance as a transit country!
You mean, in 15 or 20 years when South Stream is operational. The Romanians and the Turks already said they don't want any part of that smelly project.
You mean the katsaps.... Yanuconvict and his gang of Donetsk thugs are katsapi through and through.
Neither the EU nor Russia is responsible for the stupid decisions being made by the Tyrant of Ukraine when it comes to international norms. The man has no sense of leadership and no mater how many times he gets his head beat with remarks of condemnation he still pursuits the same old policies. He has no idea what diplomacy is all about or how to even engage his counterparts in the international community. He gave up the most important leverage he had against the Russians when he extended the Russian Black Sea Fleet without negotiating a much more lower price on gas. He should be held accountable for abusing his power and failing to ensure Ukraine a better deal just like he is doing to Tymoshenko. The Tyrant is failing on the issue of selective persecution of the opposition and the backsliding of democratic values. He keeps digging a deeper hole for himself and than has his Party of Rats are running around trying to dig him out of the messes he creates. One most also remember that Yanukovych disregarded the Ukrainian Constitution when he extended the lease of a foreign military power on Ukrainian soil...again he should be held accountable. Ukraine is no position to dictate to the Russians what is acceptable to Yanukovych nor are they in no position to dictate to the EU what is politically correct or incorrect. Yanukovych is seen as lesser of leader than ever before in the eyes of the international community and he humiliates himself as well as his country in the international arena.
