Ukraine is preparing soon to supply to Thailand another batch of 48 BTR-3E1 armored personnel carriers that were produced by Ukrainian defense companies as part of the implementation of contracts signed in 2006-2011.
“The representatives of the Thai Defense Ministry have recently
started receiving another batch of Ukrainian BTR-3E1s… The completion of
technical trials and the signing of the act of acceptance of another 48
BTR-3E1s are expected on Tuesday or Wednesday. The shipment of APCs to
Thailand is scheduled for the near future,” a source in the
Ukroboronprom State Concern told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
“Ukrainian armored vehicles are being supplied to Thailand according
to schedule. The Thai customer is satisfied with the pace of the
implementation of the contract,” the source said.
Another batch of at least 30 BTR-3E1s is to be delivered to Thailand by the end of 2012, the source said.
