You're reading: Ukraine ups gas extraction by 0.9% in seven months of 2012

Gas extraction on the Ukrainian territory increased 0.9%, or 104 million cubic meters (mcm), year-on-year to 11.801 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-July 2012, including a 0.9% increase, or 95.9 mcm, to 11.378 bcm of natural gas, a source at the country's Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Naftogaz Ukrainy’s enterprises increased gas production 0.7%, or 77.3 mcm, to 10.606 bcm, including a 0.7% increase, or 70.1 mcm, to 10.209 bcm of natural gas.

Ukrgazvydobuvannia increased output 1% to 8.793 bcm, including 0.4% more natural gas to 8.640 bcm. Ukrnafta output was down 7.3% at 1.170 bcm, including 4.5% less natural gas at 926.34 mcm. Chornomornaftogaz natural gas output rose 14% to 643.03 mcm.

Other oil and gas companies operating in the country increased gas production 2.3%, or 26.75 mcm, to 1.195 bcm, including a 2.3% increase, or 25.83 mcm, to 1.168 bcm of natural gas.

The biggest gas producers for the seven months were CJSC Naftogazvydobuvannia – 435.686 mcm (down 2.6%), JV Poltava Gas and Oil Company – 187.955 mcm (down 25.2%), KUB-Gas LLC – 120.989 mcm (up 220%), CJSC Pryrodni Resursy (Natural Resources) – 115.554 mcm (down 21.1%), Energy Services Company Esko-Pivnich LLC – 100.015 mcm (up 14.1%), CJSC Ukrnaftoburinnia – 67.169 mcm (down 16.8%), Regal Petroleum – 45.354 mcm (up 25.6-fold), CJSC Plast – 22.728 mcm (down 1.8%), Nadra Ukrainy – 22.315 mcm (down 19.2%), JV UkrKarpatOil – 17.241 mcm (down 5%), VKF Dion LLC – 11.405 mcm (up 33.3%), Pari LLC – 10.265 mcm (up 88.6%), Prom-Energo Product LLC – 9.883 mcm (up 16%), Eastern Geological Union LLC – 8.434 mcm (down 4.2%), Boryslavska Oil Company LLC – 6.885 mcm, (down 4.9%), Nadragaz LLC – 4.79 mcm (up 6.6-fold), JV Delta – 4.156 mcm (down 14.9%), CJSC Tysagaz – 2.765 mcm (up 47.5%), and Kashtan Petroleum Ltd. – 1.664 mcm (up 100%).
