You're reading: Ukraine’s Election Commission registers over 1,000 international observers for Oct. 26 elections

The Ukrainian Central Election Commission (CEC) has recently registered a further 546 international observers who will work at the country's parliamentary elections set for Oct. 26.

These observers represent three foreign countries and five international organizations – four monitors from Japan, three from Canada, two from France, as well as another 134 representing the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, 185 the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO), 144 the Canadian Election Observation Mission (CANEOM), 49 the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, and 25 the International Human Rights Commission.

Ukraine’s CEC has already registered 1,056 international observes ahead of the Oct. 26 polls.
