The Ukrainian Finance Ministry has not ruled out introducing a military tax at a rate of 1.5 percent of an individual's income, Ukrainian Deputy Finance Minister Volodymyr Matviychuk said at a briefing on July 25.

“We have agreed to lawmakers’ proposals that a special, military tax be introduced at a rate of 1.5 percent of an individual’s income before the end of this year,” he said.

This move will help accumulate Hr 2.9 billion and will be one of the measures to ensure the financing of the defense sector, he said.
