You're reading: Ukraine’s finance ministry to supervise activity of fiscal agencies after administration reform

The Finance Ministry of Ukraine will continue to manage the activity of the fiscal agencies after administrative reform, in line with the presidential decree of December 9 (No. 1085/2010).

According to the text of the decree, which has been posted on the Web site of the head of state, the Finance Minister will manage and coordinate the activity of the State Treasury Service, the State Customs Service and the State Tax Service.

The finance minister will also manage and coordinate the activity of the State Assay Office, the State Service for Financial Monitoring and the State Financial Inspection.

According to decree No. 1085/2010, the newly created State Treasury Service is to fulfill functions in the sphere of the treasury servicing of the national budget. Before this, the State Treasury of Ukraine fulfilled these functions.

In addition, the head of state reorganized the State Tax Administration into the State Tax Service, and the Main Control and Revision Office into the State Financial Inspection.

The president also reorganized the committee for financial monitoring into the State Service for Financial Monitoring.
