Kyiv, Apr. 11 - The Ukrainian Health Ministry has denied the information earlier released by volunteer medics from the Maidan that 780 people were killed in the protests on Kyiv's Maidan and events associated with them in Feb.

The ministry reported on Friday, Apr. 11,  that 105 people were killed in the period between Nov. 30, 2013 and Apr. 11, 2014 (including the 94 people killed in the clashes on the Instytutska Street) and 102 people are now receiving treatment.

The ministry press service reiterated that Ukraine’s Health Minister Oleh Musiy, “who worked with virtually all the people who were killed in the clashes in central Kyiv, has confirmed the official statistics, saying that such media reports are false and openly groundless.”

An organization of volunteer medics from the Maidan earlier reported that the death toll from the clashes that occurred in Kyiv’s Maidan in the winter and the events associated with it had reached 780.
