The general command of the National Guard of Ukraine and a delegation of the NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine met in Kyiv on Oct. 22 to discuss the prospects for further cooperation.

“During the meeting the parties discussed the areas of bilateral cooperation and the ways of improving interaction,” the National Guard’s press service reported.

Acting Commander of the National Guard Mykola Balan said that the visit of the NATO Liaison Office delegation exemplifies the support of the international community for the democratic processes in Ukraine amid the complicated socio-political situation.

The NATO delegates learned about the activities of the National Guard of Ukraine and its main tasks and functions.
