Donetsk, April 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) - President of FC Shakhtar Donetsk Rinat Akhmetov has said that if the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) fails to change its ticket pricing policy with respect to the matches of Ukraine's national football team, FC Shakhtar will not make the Donbass Arena stadium available for national team games. Akhmetov said this at the Donbass Arena stadium in Donetsk on Wednesday, April 7.

"If there is such a pricing policy, of course, we won’t provide the stadium. If the prices are affordable for fans, then the Shakhtar club needs nothing, and we’ll be ready to do everything to ensure that the national team brings joy to the fans," he said.

Akhmetov said that the FFU had expected to get over $5 million from the sale of tickets for the World Cup qualifying playoff game between Greece and Ukraine, while average proceeds at other stadiums in Ukraine does not exceed $350,000.
