Ukrainian government forces have disarmed a group of people who broke into the grounds of the Dolyne Oil Refinery (Kirovohrad region), regional prosecutors said on June 25.

“A group of about nine unknown armed people broke into the territory of the Dolyne Oil Refinery in the Kirovohrad region at around 5 a.m. this morning. Senior regional law enforcement officers arrived swiftly at the scene … The men have now been disarmed and are being identified. A team of investigators is working at the scene,” the statement said.

It was reported that Right Sector claimed to have taken control over the Dolyne Oil Refinery because of the suspicions that the company finances a terrorist organization in east Ukraine.

According to the Right Sector, the company is owned by Party of Regions parliamentarian Ruslan Tsyplakov, a close friend of the Yanukovych family, and finances militia fighters in east Ukraine. Tsyplakov and the ex-Ukrainian president’s son Viktor were partners in motorsport.
