You're reading: Ukrainian CEC processes 98.67 percent of protocols; Poroshenko has 54.69 percent of vote

The results of the electronic processing of 98.67 percent of protocols have revealed that 54.69 percent of voters cast their ballots for parliamentarian and businessman Petro Poroshenko and 12.82 percent for Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko.

Radical Party leader Oleh Liashko was favored by 8.33 percent of voters; Civil Position Party leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko by 5.48 percent; Sergiy Tigipko by 5.22 percent (all three are independent parliamentarians).

Meanwhile, the leader of the Svoboda Party and its eponymous faction in Verkhovna Rada, Oleh Tiahnybok, mustered 1.16 of the vote, and Right Sector Party leader Dmytro Yarosh just 0.7 percent.

The data was unveiled on the digital board at the CEC press center on May 28.
