40 members of illegal armed groups were killed in a fight near the town of Stepanivka, Donetsk region, on Thursday, June 12 the Ukrainian Defense Ministry press service said.
According to the press service, the terrorists lost “twelve vehicles
and more than 40 gunmen transporting significant quantities of
firearms.”
“Ukrainian servicemen destroyed two armored personnel carriers, two
tanks and two KAMAZ trucks on which 12.7 mm KORD machine guns were
mounted,” it said.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces and the State Border Service have taken
control of the state border in the south and north of Luhansk region and
the north of Donetsk region, the press service said.
