You're reading: Ukrainian Foreign Ministry: Association Agreement action plan scheduled for 2014-2017

The action plan of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement the Ukrainian government will consider on Wednesday is scheduled for the period from 2014 through 2017, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister for European Integration Olena Zerkal said.

‘The plan [of the implementation of the Association Agreement] is scheduled for 2014-2017; it consists not only of measures related to its implementation but also of measures related to the adjustment, measures related to the promotion of investment and measures related to more profound cooperation, as well as organizational measures the government will take,’ Zerkal said at a meeting of the Parliament Committee on European Integration in Kyiv on Tuesday.

The plan has over 70 pages, she noted.

An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent said the Committee on European Integration was hearing a draft law on ratification of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said on Monday his government was set to start the implementation of the agreement on the very first day after its ratification by the Ukrainian and European parliaments and the government would decide on its implementation at the Sep. 17 meeting.
