You're reading: Ukrainian government starts approving sectoral plans on implementation of Association Agreement with EU

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its last meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 26 started approving sectoral plans on the implementation of the Association Agreement signed between Ukraine and the European Union (EU).

“These sectoral plans foresee over 130 EU directives. Today the government has approved around 10 acts on the implementation of the European agreements. This is an important step in European integration,” Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak has said.

He said that the action plan on the implementation of the Association Agreement approved next day after the ratification of the Agreement foresaw that the sectoral plans are introduced from November.

The Association Agreement was signed by the EU, its member states and Ukraine on March 21 and June 27. The European Parliament and the Ukrainian parliament synchronously gave its consent on Sept. 16.

The agreement will be applied in a full scale after the ratification by the national parliaments of all 28 EU member states.
