You're reading: Ukrainian government to set up trilateral commission with EU, Russia

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed to create a trilateral commission involving the European Union and Russian Federation.

A respective order of the government was posted on Thursday.

According to the document, the trilateral commission is to “work out issues meant for the restoration of lost volumes of production and directions of trade-economic relations, the extension of and assistance to international trade, further liberalization of the market, and the coordination of the regulatory base for the improvement of conditions to conduct entrepreneurial activities.”

Moreover, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and the Industrial Policy Ministry have been charged with “restoring an active dialogue with Russia and other countries of the Customs Union and CIS member states concerning stirring up trade-economic liaisons to safeguard and reinforce the joint efforts of the economic potential of the state.”
