Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko says some of his deputies will be foreigners to whom Ukrainian citizenship will be granted.

Asked by a journalist whether a citizen of a foreign country would serve as his deputy, Petrenko said on Dec. 18: “And not only one. Negotiations are currently under way with certain specialists. You’ll know everything next week.”

Once appointed as deputies to the justice minister, the candidates will be granted Ukrainian citizenship, he said.

Interfax-Ukraine learned from some sources that two persons, one coming from Georgia and the other from Lithuania, would serve as deputies to the justice minister.
