The reforms of the tax and budget areas proposed by the Ukrainian government contain many anti-business and contradictory requirements, which realization will have the negative impact on the whole economic sectors, the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ULIE) has said.

The ULIE said that the draft budget and tax reforms require revision, taking into account proposals and remarks of the representatives of business society and experts.

‘We propose that the government recalls draft laws Nos. 5078, 5079 and 5080 from the Verkhovna Rada… if the government does not hear the request of business society, we’ll work so that the parliament cannot pas the law which could be the reason of the decline of Ukrainian business and will hinder the development of the whole society,’ the press service of ULIE said, citing ULIE President Anatoliy Kinakh.

He also criticized the plans of the government to submit the country’s draft budget for 2015 to parliament only after the adoption of the above-mentioned laws, adding that this is a violation of the Constitution of the state, as the first version of the draft key financial law is to be in the parliament on September 15.

He said that the state of the economic requires urgent reforms. In August 2014, the pace of decline of the industrial production came to 21.4 percent compared to August 2013.

ULIE said that the largest problems of Ukrainian business climate is value added tax administration and tax gaps, burden on the wage fund and difficulties with tax reporting, and the proposed reforms will not settle, but even worsen them. ULIE sent its conclusions to the Ukrainian president, Cabinet of Ministers and Ukrainian parliament.
