The Ukrainian military have blamed illegal armed groups in eastern Ukraine for ceasefire violations in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
“Checkpoints near the populated areas of Nyzhnioteple, Schastia, Stanytsia Luhanska (Luhansk region), and also Trudivske, Hranitne, Krasnohorivka, Slavne, Novy Svit, Novoselivka, Donetsk Airport, Nyzhnia Krynka, Avdiyivka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region came under artillery and mortar fire,” the press center for the Ukrainian anti-terrorist operation has reported.
The press center has reported the Ukrainian forces had returned the fire, killing up to twenty militants and destroying one Grad reactive salvo system and four mortars.
