You're reading: Ukrainian official: Experts from Russia worked on jet crash scene pretending civilians

First Deputy Head of Ukrainian President's Administration Hennadiy Zubko has said that Ukraine has evidence that the Russian experts worked on the Malaysian air plane crash scene in Donetsk region under the guise of civilians.

“Today we understand that under such high temperatures the bodies
have been decomposing, since there was no opportunity to remove them. We
understand that during this time somebody else was working [on the
crash site], and now we have a confirmation that there were military men
and Russian experts there, who analyzed and thought what to say,” he
said at Channel Five on July 21.

According to Zubko, for four days Ukraine in fact had no access to the aircraft.

He said that the search and rescue operation has already been
finished: the bodies of 282 victims and 87 body fragments from another
16 victims have been found and delivered to Kharkiv.
