Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada on March 2 called on Nadia Savchenko, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and its delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), who is currently held in custody in Russia, to stop the hunger strike.

The relevant decision, which was proposed by the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction leader, was voted by 329 people’s deputies at an emergency parliamentary session on March 2, an Interfax correspondent said.
