Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte have agreed to instruct the foreign ministers of their countries to agree on alternative proposals on establishing an international judicial inquiry to investigate the Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 disaster.

“The president noted that Russia can block the adoption of the UN Security Council resolution, but cannot stop them on the path to a fair trial. In this regard, Poroshenko and Rutte agreed to instruct the foreign ministers to urgently coordinate alternative proposals and to develop a joint action plan with the aim of establishing relevant international judicial institutions,” the Ukrainian president’s press service reported referring to a telephone conversation between Poroshenko and Rutte.
