The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has passed legislation on the legal status and commemoration of individuals and entities that fought for Ukraine's independence in the 20th century, recognizing as such all organizations fighting for independence, including the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.
The government bill on commemorating such individuals and entities was supported by 271 parliamentarians on April 9.
