The State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) has reminded that an original of the birth certificate for children aged under 14 travelling by rail is required, reads a press release of Ukrzaliznytsia published last week.

“Embarkation to the railcar is banned without required documents,” reads the report.

The report also says that Ukrzaliznytsia has started printing the
reminding that children’s ticket is not valid without an original of the
birth certificate on tickets.

The administration also said that children aged under six can travel
by rail free of charge, and if two and more children under six travel by
rail, only one child can travel free of charge.

The price of children’s ticket is 75% of the full price of the ticket.
