You're reading: Ukrzaliznytsia transports 1.2 million passengers in Hyundai and Skoda trains

Ukrainian railways since the launch of the Intercity+ trains produced by Korea's Hyundai Rotem and the Intercity trains produced by Skoda (May 27, 2012) have transported 1.2 million passengers, Director General of the Ukrainian High-Speed Railway Company Leonid Loboiko told reporters in Kyiv on Thursday.

According to him, the average occupancy of the trains is 52%. Loboiko said that the Kyiv-Kharkiv route is the busiest one (90%), the lowest occupancy is on the Kyiv-Lviv route (about 30%).

In addition, Loboiko reported that Ukrzaliznytsia is mulling the running of Hyundai trains from Kyiv to Lviv through Zhmerynka and Ternopil.
