You're reading: UMH could buy shares of partners in KP-Ukraine, radio stations Europa Plus, JAM FM and Avtoradio

  United Media Holding N.V., the holding company of the UMH media group, could build up controlling stakes in Kyiv private joint-stock company Komsomolskaya Pravda v Ukraine (KP-Ukraine) and Kyiv radio broadcaster private joint-stock company Europositiv Studio (authentication signal Europa Plus), reads a report of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine issued on Thursday.

The holding also receive the approve of the antimonopoly agency for
the acquisition of a controlling stake in FM Media Group National Agency
LLC, which holds 100% in radio broadcaster Zoloti Vorota television and
radio broadcasting company LLC (authentication signal JAM FM).

UMH could also increase its stake to a controlling one in Radio
Dovira LLC, which holds 100% in radio broadcaster subsidiary Dovira
television and radio broadcasting organization (authentication signal
Avtoradio).

According to the National Commission for Securities and the Stock
Market, as of late 2012, shareholders in KP-Ukraine were Ukrainian Media
Holding LLC (UMH, Kyiv), which is under control of UMH, with a
34.999408% stake and Kyiv-Press LLC with a 15.000592% stake, in which
UMH as of August 2012 held a 67.0069% stake and the rest of the shares
belonged to closed joint-stock company Komsomolskaya Pravda Publishing
House (Moscow).

Other large shareholders in KP-Ukraine as of late 2012 were Aqutel
Ltd – 16.996328%, Kenterco Limited – 16.996328% and Lacasti Ltd (all
based in Cyprus) – 16.007343%.

Aqutel Ltd. on a parity basis with UMH also owned the Focus
Publishing House LLC. This week UMH said that the holding owned the
asset jointly with a shareholder in PrivatBank Hennadiy Boholiubov and
sold it to Ukraine’s Vertex United of Borys Kaufman and Oleksandr
Hranovsky.

The co-owners of Radio Dovira as of March 2012 were Radiogroup LLC
(Kharkiv), which is under control of UMH, with a 50% stake, Heltex LLC,
under control of Kenterco Limited, with a 17% stake, Metinvestconsulting
LLC, under control of Aqutel Ltd, with a 17% stake and Well-Rise LLC
(all based in Dnipropetrovsk), which is under control of Lacasti Ltd,
with a 16% stake.

The Europositiv Studio, FM Media Group and Radiorama had the same
ownership structure as Radio Dovira, while the parity partner of UMH in
Ukrpolihrafmedia, which has a printing house in Ukrainka (Kyiv region),
was Kenterco Limited.

UMH Group includes newspapers Argumenty i Fakty v Ukraine,
Komsomolskaya Pravda v Ukraine, the weekly Korrespondent, Focus,
Telenedelia. In addition, the holding holds licenses for the publication
of magazines Forbes and Vogue. UMH Group also owns radio stations
Avtoradio, Nashe Radia, Retro FM, information Web resources
Korrespondent.net, Football.ua, Vgorode.ua, Internet portals Bigmir.net
and I.ua.
