United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the downing of the Ukrainian Il-76 plane in Luhansk, which killed all 49 people aboard.
“The Secretary General condemns in the strongest terms the downing of
a Ukrainian military airplane in Luhansk, killing 49 people,” Ban
Ki-moon said in a statement posted on the UN Web site.
Ban Ki-moon also called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and
a resolution of the crisis through negotiation and dialogue.
