UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is deeply concerned that illegal paramilitary forces in eastern part of Ukraine abducted OSCE monitors, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said on May 30.

“The Secretary-General is deeply concerned that international monitors who are involved in international efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in Ukraine continue to be put in grave danger, a situation that has arisen several times in recent days,” he said at a briefing.

Dujarric said that Ban Ki-moon reminded all parties with influence to exercise utmost restraint.
