The United Nations Security Council will hear another report by the UN Monitoring Mission on the human rights situation in Ukraine on Oct. 24, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said.

“The UN Security Council is holding a session on Ukraine in the format of a briefing on Oct. 24. The event is expected to focus on the sixth report by the UN Monitoring Mission on the human rights situation in Ukraine,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

According to Perebyinis, the report cites human rights violations in the Russia-occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

“In this region, the mission notes with concern that during clashes illegal armed groups are represented by more foreign fighters, particularly from Russia,” he said.
