New York (UN) - The United Nations insists on the unhampered investigation of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing 777 in Donetsk region, and on the need to establish all the circumstances of the incident, Deputy Spokesman for the Secretary General Farhan Haq said.

” We believe it’s essential that you get to the bottom of what happened to flight MH17,” he said at a briefing on Monday, Nov. 17.

The spokesman said that the investigation into the crash should be conducted without any hindrance from any of the parties on the ground.

“The Secretary General has made very clear the need for such investigations to be conducted without any hindrance from any of the parties on the ground. And we have pushed for that,” Haq said.
