Mykola Azarov has said it will take only one month to submit a draft state budget to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"The government will need only one month. Today is March 11, this means on April 11 a budget will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada," Azarov said in parliament on Thursday.

The most important task of the government for today is the adoption of a budget, Azarov said during his speech.

"The most difficult task for today is to draw up and adopt a realistic budget," he said.

Azarov also noted that a future government has a program for tackling the crisis, as well as a team that will be able to implement it successfully.

Azarov said that he would bring order to the financial state of most structures, in particular, in national JSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, Ukrtelecom, Energoatom and Ukravtodor.

He also said that structural reforms in taxation and pension laws that were stopped by former Premier Yulia Tymoshenko’s government would be resumed.

Azarov said that in the near term reform in the municipal economy was expected. He pointed out that special attention would be paid to a reform in the court system and fighting corruption.

The candidate for the premier post said that the government, under his leadership, would create a reliable foundation for economic growth on the basis of innovative technologies.
