Valeriy Khoroshkovsky is temporarily fulfilling the duties of the chief of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Deputy Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Hanna Herman told Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
"The Ukrainian president appointed Khoroshkovsky as acting SBU chief," she said.
As reported, former Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko appointed Khoroshkovsky as SBU first deputy chief under a decree issued on January 28, 2009. On March 18, 2009, Khoroshkovsky was appointed head of the SBU anti-terrorist center.
