U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt has said he welcomes election of Oleksandr Turchynov opposition party chief deputy as Chairman of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“Welcome election of Mr. Turchynov as new Rada speaker. Peaceful,
democratic transition key and the Verkhovna Rada is leading the way,”
the ambassador twitted on Saturday.
