Moscow - The U.S. Embassy in Moscow has denied claims that the United States could have been involved in the actions of snipers during mass riots in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on February 20.

“US welcomes new information about Feb 20 sniper shootings in Kyiv.
GOR accusations that US involved are baseless, dangerous &
unprofessional,” the U.S. diplomatic mission said in a statement posted
on its official Twitter page.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier Moscow had
information suggesting that the Right Sector ultra-nationalistic
movement had coordinated snipers’ actions in Kyiv.
