WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of the Treasury on March 11 posted a list of 14 people and two organizations that are now subject to new U.S. sanctions.
Among them are former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, former First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov, as well as former Minister of Health Raisa Bohatyriova.
Sanctions were also introduced against representatives of the militants in eastern Ukraine: head of the central election commission of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Roman Liahin, Do9netsk people’s Republic national council deputy Yekateryna Hubareva, and Donetsk People’s Republic security council secretary Oleksandr Khodakovsky.
Russian political scientist Alexander Dugin is also subject to sanctions.
In addition, the list includes the Russian National Commercial Bank and the Eurasian Youth Union.
The persons included in the list are banned from entering the United States and their assets will be frozen.
