You're reading: U.S. ‘millionaire mentor’ Robert Fletcher arrested in Kyiv

Kyiv, November 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Kyiv police have arrested the founder of the Millionaire Mentor project, U.S. citizen Robert Fletcher, on suspicion of fraud, Head of Ukrainian Interior Ministry Main Department Vitaliy Yarema has told in an interview to journalists in Kyiv on Monday.

The staff of the Holosiyivsky police district department arrested Fletcher on Sunday November 23 on suspicion of fraudulent activities.

Yarema said the reason of the arrest were six statements from Ukrainian citizens that Fletcher had seized funds put into an investment project.

“According our information, the total amount of the people’s funds is over $10 million,” he said.

Yarema said Fletcher is now in a temporary detention facility, and level of restriction on his movements would be decided on Tuesday.
