You're reading: US to provide $34.4 million of additional technical aid to Ukraine

The US government will provide an additional technical aid of $34.4 million to Ukraine, including $11 million for the improvement of the anticorruption and election laws, $6.6 million for support of small and medium-sized companies by local authorities and $5 million for the increase of agricultural production.

The Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine reported on Thursday, Nov. 27 that the agreements were signed by Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman and USAID Mission Director to Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Cyprus Jed Barton.

According to the agreements, $1.4 million will be sent to improve functions of public supervision and participation of citizens in government processes and $2.5 million to strengthen a potential of the private economic sector.
