The U.S. would like to see unity across the reformist coalition in Ukraine, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland has said.

“So we want to see unity across the reformist coalition. We want to
see that united front work as quickly as possible on these very
difficult economic and rule of law reforms,” she said in an interview
with journalist Savik Shuster, which was aired on the Shuster Live
political talk show on Friday night.

“But I would also say that there are no miracles. There’s no
overnight answer to the decades and decades of difficulty that you’re
now trying to clean up. So some patience, unfortunately, is going to be
required as you work through this,” Nuland added.

The U.S. assistant secretary of state noted that Ukraine was taking
the necessary steps as quickly as possible, because this process is
painful.
