The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider a bill on decriminalizing certain articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine first thing at its plenary session on Nov. 15

The proposal to consider the bill on Tuesday was made by the BYT-Batkivschyna party faction in the Ukrainian parliament .

"The BYT-Batkivschyna faction will decide on its further action after the bill 9221 (on the decriminalization of certain articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is considered first thing on Tuesday, and demands that this bill should be put as the first item on the agenda on Tuesday," the first deputy head of the BYT-Batkivschyna faction Andriy Kozhemiakin said at a meeting of parliament’s conciliation council on Monday.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn said to this: "If the bill is ready for consideration tomorrow, let’s consider it."

At a meeting of the conciliation council heads of parliamentary committees and factions on Monday, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn offered to reschedule the consideration of this issue from Friday to Tuesday.

Most of the meeting participants supported this proposal.
