We need to reinstate the death penalty. We need to stop listening to the societies that constantly fabricate excuses for these heinous crimes and punish the perpetrators of these terrible deeds accordingly. Jail terms are never enough and are rarely served to the full term. This young woman might survive her ordeal but what quality of life does she face? It is of no importance who these men are or who their parents are; they must be given at the very least a life sentence without parole. Suggesting these men was so drunk they acted without reason or that they acted under peer pressure is an insult to us all and cannot be given any credibility. Death penalty and Hard labour internment are good reasons to think before committing these crimes.
